JTL is a platform specialized in online and multichannel retail from JTL-Software GmbH in Hückelhoven, founded in 2008. At its center is the JTL-Wawi inventory management system, complemented by a broad ecosystem: integrated PIM, the JTL-WMS warehouse management, the JTL-Shop shop system, the JTL-POS point-of-sale, eazyAuction for marketplaces as well as workflows and the Fulfillment Network. This creates a complete retail stack from a single source.
Functionally, JTL covers purchasing, sales, warehousing, order processing, shipping and connectivity to shops and over 30 marketplaces. When it comes to the deployment reality, honesty is worthwhile: the core is a Windows client application with an MS SQL database and fundamentally runs on-premise. There is no true SaaS cloud - cloud here means hosted on-premise via RDP through partners with German data centers. Newer editions additionally bring a REST API.
In the DACH region, JTL ranks among the leading providers of multichannel inventory management; per the vendor, over 50,000 customers use the software, supported by more than 500 partners. Since October 2023 HG Capital holds the majority, with founder Lisson remaining a minority shareholder. Is JTL DATEV-capable and GoBD-compliant?+
JTL does not offer a native DATEV integration; the connection is made via third parties such as JTL2DATEV or the JERA accounting interface. GoBD requirements can be mapped via these accounting/DATEV interfaces and audit-proof archiving. The JTL-POS till additionally supports a TSE per KassenSichV. Accounting itself is thus not part of the core and must be covered via connected solutions.
Does JTL support e-invoicing?+
Yes. From version 1.9.6.0, JTL-Wawi can natively issue the ZUGFeRD and XRechnung formats. Receiving electronic invoices is covered partly via add-on solutions. JTL is thus fundamentally prepared for the e-invoicing obligation in German business transactions, though the focus is clearly on issuing.
