In short
plentyONE (formerly plentymarkets) is a German cloud e-commerce platform with an ERP core for multichannel and marketplace retailers. It combines PIM, OMS, WMS and CRM and bills in two parts: a fixed base fee per plan (from €59/month) plus a GMV-based fee above the booked revenue limit. Ideal for heavily marketplace-driven retailers with growing volume.
What is plentyONE?
plentyONE is a cloud-based all-in-one e-commerce platform from plentysystems AG in Kassel. The company was founded in 2001 and long operated under the name plentymarkets. Since November 2024 the software has traded uniformly under the plentyONE brand - a pure rebranding that leaves the existing contracts running unchanged. The provider continues to be led by founder Jan Griesel as CEO, with over 200 employees at the Kassel location.
At its core, plentyONE combines inventory management, order management and warehouse management (WMS, multi-warehouse) with over 70 marketplace and channel connections such as Amazon including FBA, eBay, Kaufland and Otto Market. This is complemented by an online shop (Ceres), PIM, CRM and a POS till in one cloud. The target group is marketplace and multichannel retailers with several active channels, their own warehouse and a high need for automation, who want to run their operations in a largely automated way.
In the market, plentyONE is regarded as an established DACH provider for cloud-based multichannel inventory management and positions itself as an alternative to JTL, Xentral and Afterbuy in the marketplace segment. The company remains founder-led but received a strategic investment from PSG Equity in 2024/25. Unlike pure D2C or shop solutions, plentyONE is strongly geared to marketplace sales and warehouse operation and scales from SMEs in online retail up into the mid-market and beyond.
Who is plentyONE for?
Marketplace and multichannel retailers with several active channels, their own warehouse and a high need for automation.
- Marketplace sellers with several channels (Amazon, eBay, Kaufland, Otto)
- Retailers with their own warehouse / multi-warehouse operation
- Growing SMEs with a budget for setup/partner
Less suited for: Pure D2C brands without marketplace sales and solo shops without IT affinity · Projects with a very fast launch requirement

What does plentyONE cost?
What plentyONE ultimately costs depends on edition, billing model, add-on modules and implementation effort – the entry price alone says little about the total cost. The overview below makes both transparent.

from approx. €59/month
Edition subscription + GMV fee on revenue above the allowance
Billing & pricing model
Two components: a fixed base fee per plan (Lite from €59, Lite+ €99, Expand €149, Scale €229, Ultimate on request) plus a GMV fee above the booked revenue limit (Lite/Lite+ up to €50,000/month, Expand/Scale up to €200,000/month). Monthly billing, net.

| Ultimate | on request | Individually calculated enterprise edition; GMV fee and terms negotiable |
Further cost factors (TCO)
Beyond the subscription, these items determine the total cost – we have compiled them for plentyONE:
- Setup
- No explicit setup fees; self-service onboarding in all plans, full-service only with Ultimate.
- Implementation
- No fixed price; paid "Growth Services" (tailored onboarding, managed services) as well as 300+ certified partner agencies; typical duration 1-3 months.
Support, contract & operations of plentyONE
Whether plentyONE proves itself in day-to-day use depends – alongside features and price – heavily on operations, support and the contract model. We have compiled how plentyONE is provided, which service levels and support channels apply, under which contract and trial terms you get started, and how far the system scales with your company.
Contract & trial
Before you commit, trial period, term and exit matter: this is how you get started with plentyONE – and get out again if in doubt.
- Free trial
- 30 days free, no credit card, no automatic renewal.
- Operating model
- Cloud-only (SaaS); access exclusively via browser, no local installation.
- Minimum term
- Contract term 12 months, automatic renewal for the same period each time.
- Cancellation

Support & service levels
In day-to-day operation, how well you get help matters. plentyONE supports its customers through these channels, languages and response times.
- Channels
- Phone (general & technical, with emergency hotline DE/AT), service desk/ticketing, in-app chat, community forum as well as manuals, video tutorials and developer documentation.
- Languages
- German and English.
- Training
- Extensive self-service resources (documentation, tutorials, webinars) free; paid Growth Services and 300+ partner agencies.
Scalability & limits
An ERP should grow with the company. This is how plentyONE behaves with a rising number of users, multiple tenants and at its technical limits.
- Users
- Included users per plan: Lite 5, Lite+ 10, Expand 20, Scale 40, Ultimate individual.
- Limits
- Warehouses & marketplaces tiered per plan; GMV limits Lite/Lite+ €50,000/month, Expand/Scale €200,000/month.

- Upgrade path Lite → Lite+ → Expand → Scale → Ultimate with rising user, warehouse and GMV limits.
plentyONE in the DACH region
Compliance requirements differ by country – DATEV/GoBD in Germany, FinanzOnline/RKSV in Austria, VAT/QR invoice in Switzerland. This is how plentyONE performs across the three markets:
Hosting & data protection
Cloud hosting in Germany (Kassel area), ISO 27001, DPA available.
DATEV
DATEV export/connection integrated (partly as a paid add-on interface).
GoBD
GoBD-compliant accounting/audit trails according to the vendor.
E-invoicing (XRechnung / ZUGFeRD)
XRechnung/ZUGFeRD via the accounting/invoicing function or plugins; check native details before purchase.
Language & support
German-language software, documentation and support (Made in Germany).
Onboarding & implementation
- Duration
- approx. 4-12 weeks to productive operation, depending on channel and warehouse complexity
- Partner
- a certified implementation partner/agency is usually recommended; self-setup is possible, but with a steep learning curve
- Cost
- one-off usually approx. €3,000-15,000 for setup/migration with a partner, plus edition and GMV fee
Because of the complex interface and many configuration options, a partner is effectively standard for marketplace, warehouse and accounting setup.
Switching & migrating to plentyONE
Migration from Shopify/Shopware or similar via master-data import and channel mapping; realistically 4-8 weeks to live operation, partner recommended. Existing plentymarkets contracts continue unchanged under plentyONE.
Verdict: is plentyONE worth it?
A strong, DACH-focused multichannel inventory management system for marketplace retailers with warehouse operations and automation needs. Consider: steep learning curve, setup effort and GMV-based pricing. Usually oversized for small D2C brands.
Frequently asked questions about plentyONE
How much does plentyONE cost?+
plentyONE is offered as an edition subscription that starts at about €59/month (Lite); further approximate values are Lite+ approx. €99, Expand approx. €149, Scale approx. €229 and Ultimate on request. In addition, a revenue-based GMV fee applies to revenue above the included allowance, which makes cost planning harder. For setup with an agency, a one-off €3,000-15,000 is often added. Prices are partly opaque (as of 2025/26).
Which companies is plentyONE suitable for?+
plentyONE is aimed above all at marketplace and multichannel retailers with several active channels such as Amazon, eBay, Kaufland and Otto, at retailers with their own warehouse or multi-warehouse operation, and at growing SMEs with a budget for setup and partners. The platform is less suitable for pure D2C brands without marketplace sales, solo shops without IT affinity and projects with a very fast launch requirement.
Is plentyONE DATEV-capable and GoBD-compliant?+
Yes. plentyONE offers an integrated DATEV export or a DATEV connection, which is partly available as a paid add-on interface. According to the vendor, the accounting is GoBD-compliant and provides corresponding audit trails. This makes it possible to map collaboration with tax advisory and financial accounting.
Does plentyONE support e-invoicing?+
plentyONE supports the e-invoice formats XRechnung and ZUGFeRD via the accounting and invoicing function or via plugins. The exact native implementation should be checked before purchase, as individual details may vary depending on configuration.
Where is the data hosted?+
The data is hosted in Germany, in the Kassel area. Hosting is certified to ISO 27001, and a data processing agreement (DPA) is available. Software, documentation and support are German-language (Made in Germany), which supports DACH compliance.
What are plentyONE's biggest weaknesses?+
The weaknesses are the steep learning curve and the complex interface; onboarding often takes 4-12 weeks and usually requires an implementation partner, which increases total costs. On top of this comes the GMV-based pricing component, which makes calculation harder. Support is sometimes slow, and individual features or plugins still feel immature.
plentyONE or an alternative?+
plentyONE plays to its strengths with marketplace retailers that have several channels, their own warehouse and a high need for automation, and is regarded as an alternative to JTL, Xentral and Afterbuy in the marketplace segment. For small D2C brands without marketplace sales or projects with a very fast launch requirement, by contrast, the platform is usually oversized. In these cases a leaner solution can be the better choice.
